James Dawnay
James is chairman of Northern AIM VCT PLC. He trained in investment management with M&G Group and spent five years in industry before joining the board of S G Warburg in 1983. He was a founder director of Mercury Asset Management Group on its flotation in 1985 and he subsequently became chairman of Mercury Fund Managers. He joined Martin Currie in 1992 as director of business development and stepped down as deputy chairman in 2000. He is chairman of CCLA Investment Management Limited and a non-executive director of a number of other companies.
