Astbury Marsden.

Astbury Marsden was established in 1995 and led by an entrepreneurial and experienced management team.

Their success is based on a special understanding of the markets in which the business has operated over the last 15 years, demonstrated by their strong client relationships and delivery against the aspirations of their candidates. Operating from offices in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, Astbury Marsden provide blue-chip clients in investment banking, investment management, private banking and wealth management with both permanent hires and contractors, across their infrastructure functions (IT, Operations & Finance). Their major clients include Barclays, HSBC, JPMorgan and Ernst & Young.

In 2007 NVM worked closely with Managing Director Jonathan Nicholson and Chief Operating Officer, Mark Cameron, to buy-out the 80% shareholding of Paul Marsden, one of the original founders.

NVM introduced experienced chairman, Tim Moynihan, who has provided valuable support since the buy-out especially during the banking crisis during 2008/2009. The team have benefited from his extensive experience over several economic cycles within the Human Capital sector.

Since investing in Astbury Marsden the business has broadened its geographic footprint substantially, opening offices in Hong Kong and Singapore where they are building traction rapidly. The banking recovery is now allowing the team to exploit their much strengthened infrastructure and grow strongly.

The team has been instrumental in delivering profitable growth since assuming responsibility for the business. They are committed to the future growth of the business and demonstrated this by reinvesting their equity at the time of the buy-out.
James Arrowsmith, NVM
